Bergamo:

Before you really get started on your italian giro, you must pay hommage first to the Madonna di Ghisallo, the patron saint of all cyclists. She will give you good luck on your Italian tour. You’ll notice that you’re not the first cyclists to make the journey; the chapel is quite popular among the great racers.
Bellagio (on the point of the lakes), Cycling along Lake Como.

There is a lot of traffic along the stretch south of Lecco. The climbing route avoids this, but if it isn’t a problem, it’s shorter to stay on the main road to Brivio. Bergamo A.P.T.: 035/242226
